My All-Time Favorite Trail Mix Recipe
There are few foods better to take on outdoor adventures than trail mix. It’s an awesome, tasty way to get quick nutrients while you’re on the go. I would like to share my all-time favorite trail mix recipe to take on hiking and backpacking trips with anyone who would like to try it out.
I like my trail mix on the salty side, so it’s heavy on the nuts. Add more fruit if you like yours sweeter.
Nathanael’s Trail Mix
- 1 cup Planter’s Nut-rition cashews, almonds, and macadamia nuts
- 1/4 cup Snyder’s mini pretzels
- 1/4 cup dried mixed berries (cranberries, cherries, & blueberries)
- 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces
- 1/4 cup chocolate-covered coffee beans
My favorite part is the chocolate-covered coffee beans. They are delicious! Plus they pack a caffeine punch, which gives me more energy on the trail.
Just don’t eat this right before bedtime!
